smdown.pl:  a command-line album downloader for Smugmug written in Perl

Usage:
  smdown.pl --login login --password password http://your.smugmug.com/album

Installation
------------
If you're on some Unix box that has Perl and the XML::Simple module
installed, just right-click on smdown.txt and Save As... "smdown.pl"

If you're on OS X or some other box with a limited Perl install,
right-click on smdown-noxml.txt and Save As... "smdown.pl"

Make sure to chmod 755 smdown.pl, and run it as ./smdown.pl ...
[Unless you know how to add it to your path, yadda yadda.]

If you don't want to type your login and password every time, go ahead
and create an .smugmugrc file in your home directory that looks like:

login: you@youraddress.com
password: yourpassword

  get the original names.  Added appropriate error message about that.
