Is this person using Fetch? That app is the best I've seen on Mac
platform. It may be as simple as what your server is looking for as a
username and password. It may be configured to accept only the word
"anonymous" as a username and an email address as a password. You will
have to ask your IS people.

I upload using Fetch from behind a firewall all the time. I think the
block is on your ftp server.
