Erik,

I've used NFS/Share from Intercon (although I think they
got bought out a couple of years ago; it might have even
mutated into that Intragy product you mention). Chameleon and
OnNet are popular on the PC side; see if they have
Mac equivalents.

I know I used to be able to access our UNIX filesystem
via the Chooser with no extra software because of what
they were running on the UNIX side; a much better
solution, IMHO, because it doesn't involve multiple
client software installation/maintenance. If you're
interested in that route, I can try and find out what
we used to do.
