Hi all,
I am new to this list and am in need of help. I am in the printing
industry here in New Zealand and have a newspaper IT manager who want to
convert as much AppleTalk traffic on his network to TCP/IP as possible.
The network handles large postscript files on a 100BaseT network
currently over AppleTalk to a NT Server. I have setup the NT server to
accept LPR print jobs (which it does do from the Windows 95 clients), but
when I create the printer on the Macintosh the printer verifies and but
doesn't actually send any data to the server. In the Desktop Printer
Window I just get the print job name saying there is say 30Mb left to
send. Unfortunately this is all I get.
I can get the same mac's to print to the AppleShare IP server and a Unix
server over IP without a hitch just not to the NT. Unfortunately these
postscript files are printing to RIP software running under NT.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mathew
