Well, I would start by filing a bug report against FMPro -
that's pretty stupid on their part to not deal with this internally!

Well, a non-smart quote ' - will work just fine on both
platforms. And for less-than-or-equal-to, use the two characters
next to each other (<=) as done in standard programming languages.
