[WinMac] Open ClarisWorks file with AppleWorks?

A user has a ClarisWorks file (originally Mac? WIN? we don't know...) that
gets an error message when opening the file in AppleWorks on her WIN95
system:

This is not an AppleWorks file or the file is corrupted.

Cruising through Apple's TIL, I found a fix for files corrupted by
ClarisDraw applications which had been updated by a faulty updater. I
proceeded as though the file had come from such an application, read the TIL
article, and continued.

AppleCare Tech Info Library -ClarisDraw: How to Fix Files
Corrupted by the Original 1.0v2 Updater

and the URL of the document is

        http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n56555

I did the fix on the document, but I'm still getting the same error.

I've also tried opening the file on a mac using ClarisWorks, but no joy.

I'm searching the company to find someone who may have ClarisWorks on a WIN
system (I don't know if there's even a ClarisWorks for WIN, but I'll soon
find out).

I'm running out of ideas.

Doug
