We will be running print services and Exchange 5.5 on it. We are currently
running on 2 Compaq Proliant 5500's but have run out of space. We are not
currently looking at running anything else, but I don't get to make the
decisions in that regard. Also, to throw a curve at us, we are now expected
to host mail and some files for 2 more newspapers and 3 radio stations. The
machine we are looking at is a Dell server (I don't recall the model) with 2
GB of ram and capacity for 500 GB of hard drive. The big thing is going to
be stand-up reliability of the system. Right now, on the old Proliants, we
have had 99.347% uptime over the last 5 years.
