We did this successfully a couple of years ago. There is a serial port
as well as a localtalk port on these printers. There are a set of dip
switches that have to be changed to set either serial or localtalk, but
since the laserwriter and its manual are not available to me right now, I
cannot tell you what the settings are. The Laserwriter II NTX went on
the fritz a couple of years ago and is in a box with its manual at
another location. If you have access to the manual, you can find the
information. I believe that the manual is in PDF format somewhere on
Apple's web sit. As I remember, for Windows 95, at least, there was a
Windows driver for the Laserwriter II NTX

Hope this leads you to a solution.
